To all my friends here in Crafty Blogland, thanks to you all for your encouragement and camaraderie. As I return to my job of teaching full time, my time here has been limited. Yet you all are still there to lift me up and support me. Thank again and much love to you all here on Valentines Day.
Here is card for all of my friends: new and old, near and far. I created a collaged background for the card with vintage paper scraps, Tim Holtz's Ideaology stickers and tissue tape, and a Martha Stewart heart paper punch. Pumice stone Distress Ink was used to grunge the edges and a Hickory Smoke Distress Marker was used to add some lines and shadowing. The collage was mounted onto a black cardstock card. Simple ... yet so much to my aesthetic!!
Because I created a collaged background for my Valentines Day Card, I'm going to enter it into
Country View Challenges: Make Your Own Background challenge. And now, I'm going to put it in an envelope and have this lovely card waiting for my Mom when she comes to visit me this week. It will be a little late, but that seems to be the story of my life these days.
Happy Valentines Day to you all! Hugs -- Mary Elizabeth

This is awesome! Your collage is right-on! I thought it was a printed paper! Thumbs-up!
There's a simple beauty to this which is really charming, Mary Elizabeth - love the delicate red accents amid the fabulous text collaging. Hope all is going well with the job-return. Take care of yourself.

Yummy, yummy layers! And a happy Valentines to you! <3
So glad you are back at it full time, but sorry you have less time for crafting. You gotta do what you gotta do though. LOVE your card, and all the layers and tuck ins! Great!
